Annual accounts preparation and business development
Limited companies are required to file accounts online with both Companies House and HMRC. The proposal is that this will in future be one process, whereby accounts will be filed simultaneously for both.
Sole traders and partnerships also need annual accounts to help prepare tax returns, and to manage their business effectively.
Most clients prefer to keep basic books and records for themselves, as they do this in any case to keep track of cash they are owed, and who they still have to pay. That process can be streamlined to make quarterly MTD returns to HMRC using a software package, with the added benefit that you can easily send reminders to clients who have not yet paid, and access real time information on your bank balance.
It also enables you to see how well your business is performing, and to identify which work is most profitable.
We take the time to explain your accounts to you so that you understand what is going on financially within your business, helping you to plan for the future.
We can help you develop your business, by listening carefully to concerns, and providing constructive advice and feedback.
For smaller business owners, who often have precious little support from elsewhere, we offer a sounding board, and can advise where they can find help and advice to deal with their business concerns.
The services we can offer include:
- Reviewing management accounts, monthly, quarterly or six monthly, as you choose
- Business Strategy
- Goal setting and budgets
- Business Growth ideas
- Cost saving strategy
- Tax saving ideas
For larger concerns, business plans can be prepared to help you monitor progress towards pre-set targets and goals, which can then be reviewed at the following meeting.
